As a Penetration Specialist for Independent Food Service Sales, you'll cultivate relationships and develop new businesses and customers, helping them achieve their goals and yours.

This role will reside in West Palm Beach, and you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team that's dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction.

As a Penetration Specialist, you'll identify existing divisional customer targets with growth opportunities, develop a process to maintain visibility, and build relationships with decision-makers to foster future business opportunities and retention.

You'll also develop profitable growth with identified customers, including matching existing business growth opportunities with current service capacity, while maximizing the GFS value proposition.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Researching industry and market trends impacting independent restaurateurs within your territory
  • Identifying and researching prospective customers within your territory
  • Developing sales strategies that highlight products, services, values, and solutions offered by Gordon Food Service and presenting the sales strategy to prospective customers
  • Creating and presenting professional presentations for potential new customers
  • Reporting monthly to the leadership team regarding current and potential customer activities and developments

Maintaining knowledge of the segment through industry magazines and local culinary organizations is also an important aspect of this role.

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about sales and customer development.

A High School Diploma/GED is required, and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing, and/or culinary certificate is preferred.

4 or more years of prior sales, business, or food service experience is also required.

Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record is essential, as is the ability to obtain your food safety certification.
