As a Ski and Ride School Front Desk Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive.

The Ski and Ride School Front Desk Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at assisting guests in understanding and purchasing the appropriate ski and ride school products. This position serves as the initial point of contact for guests, welcoming them and managing check-ins for pre-booked reservations. Additionally, you will provide customer service, sell lift tickets, and assist guests with general inquiries about the resort.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, gift certificates, and other payment methods, ensuring detailed tracking and accountability.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the pricing, purpose, and target audience for all ski and ride school offerings, as well as general resort events.
  • Welcome guests to Jay Peak and the Ski & Ride School, guiding them on how to maximize their experience.
  • Check in pre-registered guests and ensure they are informed about the specific processes related to their bookings.
  • Assess each guest's needs based on their age, skill level, duration of stay, budget, and overall goals to recommend suitable ski and ride school experiences.
  • Facilitate both day-of and advanced reservations for ski and ride school, ensuring all essential information is captured for a successful experience.
  • Ensure all participants complete and sign the Assumption of Risk form.
  • Track and manage lift tickets and payments for students and accompanying chaperones.
  • Provide customer service by assisting guests with navigating the resort and selling retail and discounted lift tickets.
  • Assist with ski and snowboard rental inquiries and sales.
  • Support school operations by helping supervisors and managers with reporting, tracking, payroll, and distribution of items.
  • Act as a central hub for information, staying informed about lift and trail conditions, weather forecasts, and resort events.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Intermediate computer skills are required, including proficiency in reservation systems and basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Strong interpersonal skills and empathy are essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with guests and staff. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on delivering positive guest experiences is crucial.
