Position Overview:

In the role of Value Analysis/Value Engineering Product Specialist, you will engage in collaborative and independent efforts alongside fellow designers, engineers, and various departments involved in the design, support, and production of Commercial HVAC Products.

Your primary focus will be to evaluate both new and existing products to enhance their value by optimizing the balance between functionality and cost.


Key Responsibilities:

- Generate innovative ideas by gathering information and insights, collaborating with subject matter experts to identify potential opportunities, and establishing core baseline expectations for products.

- Employ creative thinking to explore new and alternative methods for product development, considering fresh approaches or reapplying existing processes in novel ways.

- Redefine the entire product creation process from inception to completion.

- Organize and facilitate Value Analysis/Value Engineering events, involving cross-functional teams of stakeholders to foster early support for prospective projects.

- Prioritize potential projects using a systematic ranking approach.

- Prepare model plans, detail modifications and their implications, generate updated financial forecasts, create physical representations, and evaluate the overall feasibility of proposed changes.

- Develop Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and present suggested modifications to the change request board.

- Communicate to management how proposed changes will enhance company performance.

- Lead and/or remain actively involved in projects to ensure effective execution.

- Guarantee that all information and specifications provided to internal and external customers are accurate, complete, clear, and timely.

- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Adhere to safety protocols consistently.


Qualifications:

- Comprehensive understanding of products and their interrelations.

- Strong decision-making, organizational, and analytical problem-solving abilities, with a knack for overcoming unexpected challenges.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

- Familiarity with 3D modeling software is preferred (e.g., SOLIDWORKS).

- Proficient computer skills and adeptness with Microsoft products.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.

- Above-average verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


Safety and Physical Requirements:

- This position necessitates the incumbent's presence onsite for a minimum of 40 hours per week.

- The incumbent must be able to access manufacturing and assembly areas to inspect units, troubleshoot issues, and validate potential solutions.

- Capable of lifting or moving components weighing 50 lbs. or less.

- Must pass background checks and drug tests.

- Requires bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

- Must be able to stand for six (6) to eight (8) hours daily (overtime may extend this duration).

- Good visual and spatial awareness is essential.

- Follow established safety policies, including but not limited to mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, and first-aid protocols.
