Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology and Hepatology Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Central Florida. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our gastroenterology and hepatology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.
  • Monitor patients' treatment plans and make referrals to other specialists as needed.
  • Collaborate with physician supervisors to provide consistent care and support to patients and staff.
  • Manage patients with various gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions, including but not limited to:
    • Barrett's Esophagus
    • Colorectal Cancer Screening
    • Colonoscopy
    • Capsule Endoscopy
    • ERCP
    • GERD
    • IDB
    • Crohn's Disease
    • Ulcerative Colitis
    • Liver Disease/Failure
    • Upper GI Disorders
    • GI Bleeds
  • Document patient information in a timely and thorough manner.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
  • Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license.
  • Certification by NCCPA, ANCC, or other nationally recognized certification organization.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
