Job Overview

Position: PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL ASSOCIATE - DAY SHIFT

Location: San Marcos

Schedule: DAY SHIFT: Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM - 6:30 PM, with Saturday starting at 6 AM

Weekly Hours: 40+ hours; Full-Time

Key Responsibilities: The PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL ASSOCIATE is responsible for receiving and organizing palletized or crated goods by type utilizing a pallet jack. Duties include loading trucks according to load sheets, scanning items, conducting inventory checks, and performing bin audits. The role may also involve manually moving or stacking products into boxes or crates. Additionally, the associate may need to stretch-wrap stacks or pallets either manually or with machinery as required. The position necessitates the ability to grip a metal case hook to occasionally maneuver heavy stacks of milk weighing up to 330 lbs across a diamond plate platform; candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs on occasion. The work environment is typically cold, averaging around 35°F. Responsibilities also include checking temperatures and completing necessary documentation. Other tasks may be assigned as needed. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English is required. Experience in heavy labor within a similar setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to use hands for handling, talking, and hearing. The employee is consistently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Regularly, the employee must push, pull, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: During the performance of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to cold, wet, and/or humid conditions, as well as moving mechanical parts.
