The Executive Director of Compensation and Benefits is a key member of the Total Rewards leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing the organization's employee compensation and benefits programs. This includes health and welfare, retirement, broad-based, and variable compensation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits programs to attract, motivate, and retain top talent.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as alignment with Human Resources objectives and industry standards.
- Collaborate with all levels of the organization to develop and implement effective compensation and benefits strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure optimal benefits and compensation programs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Total Rewards team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in compensation and benefits, and apply this knowledge to inform strategic decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years' combined experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years of people and program management experience at the director level or above.
- At least one of the following certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and independently.
- Ability to develop a clear, realistic, and actionable vision, and provide a results-oriented strategy.
- Ability to use customer service skills to provide an exceptional experience.
- Ability to build, motivate, and lead high-performing teams.
- Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage projects and assignments from start to completion.
