Clinical Operations Nurse Manager

Position Overview:
The Clinical Operations Nurse Manager is tasked with overseeing the leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of nursing services at the designated facility. This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, organizational policies, and nursing care standards.
- Develop staffing strategies that align with contractual needs and maintain adherence to regulations.
- Utilize established manuals and guidelines to direct inmate treatment and nursing staff actions.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new nursing personnel, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Evaluate the clinical competencies of nursing staff and implement educational initiatives to address any skill gaps.
- Supervise daily nursing operations to ensure timely completion of all required tasks.
- Promote collaboration and communication with correctional facility staff to support QCHC's mission.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to disseminate critical information and updates.
- Complete annual performance assessments for nursing staff and assist in payroll verification to ensure accuracy.
Clinical Oversight:
- Establish measurable clinical outcome goals and develop assessment tools to track progress.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical teams to maintain continuity of care for inmates.
- Administer inmate care in accordance with physician directives and nursing best practices.
- Support the Medical Director and Director of Nursing in conducting pharmacy utilization assessments.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist in the annual evaluation of orientation programs, competency assessments, ongoing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in budget planning and ensure operations remain within financial constraints.
- Identify and request necessary equipment and resources to enhance nursing operations.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to corporate management on a scheduled basis.
- Attend mandatory meetings and maintain participation in non-mandatory meetings throughout the year.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all QCHC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including clinical responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Must possess a valid and current Nursing License in the state of employment.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience is required, with one to two years in a management role preferred.
- Experience in correctional healthcare is advantageous.
