About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative/Account Manager to join our team at Trex Company. As a key member of our Field Sales team, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, growing and developing new business, and serving as the primary contact for territory distributor locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Key Customer Relationships - Develop and leverage strong business relationships with key distributor contacts at each branch location.
  • Prospect for New Accounts and Develop Markets - Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow and expand our customer base.
  • Develop and Execute an Annual Business Plan - Collaborate with the Regional/District Sales Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive business plan.
  • Establish KPI Targets and Deliver Results - Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business growth and success.
  • Manage Individual Travel and Expense Budgets - Effectively manage your travel and expense budgets to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Co-op Funding Management - Manage co-op funding within primary distributor responsibility.
Travel Requirements

This position requires 5-7 overnights per month within the territory and for customer meetings, trainings, and conferences. A valid driver's license is required.

Experience

We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree and a proven sales success track record. Previous experience as an account executive, field sales representative, or key account manager is highly desirable.

  • Sales Representative - At least 3 years of outside sales experience is required. Candidates without a degree will be required to have at least 5 years of outside sales experience.
  • Account Manager - At least 5 years of outside sales experience is required. Candidates without a degree will be required to have at least 7 years of outside sales experience.
