We are currently seeking a Project Controls Engineer to deliver scheduling support services for our esteemed client's data center operations. This role will collaborate with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction experts, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and oversee CPM schedules and project control systems throughout the project lifecycle. This position is integral to the project team and offers numerous growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM schedules.
  • Analyze project documents and specifications to create baseline schedules that accurately reflect all necessary dates, activities, and milestones.
  • Conduct progress schedule updates, including comprehensive reporting and narratives.
  • Evaluate project schedules and provide recommendations aligned with execution objectives.
  • Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related challenges, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Conduct site inspections for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
  • Assess contractor progress and present findings to management for informed decision-making.
  • Establish metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
  • Manage and report on costs and resources.
  • Identify and assess risks and impacts within project schedules.
  • Effectively communicate project status and challenges.
  • Engage with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction sector.
  • At least two years of experience in project controls specifically for data centers.
  • A Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related discipline. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct experience in the vertical construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, means, and sequences.
  • Experience in developing construction project schedules for data center initiatives.
  • Expertise in cost and resource management and reporting.
  • Familiarity with contractual clauses as they pertain to planning and scheduling.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) are preferred.
  • This role requires full-time on-site presence.
