Events and Engagement Intern

Position Overview: The National Landing Business Improvement District (BID) is on the lookout for an Events and Engagement Intern to support the implementation of the BID's event schedule. Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Assist the Director of Events and Engagement in the planning and execution of various events and activations.
- Provide on-site assistance during regular weekly events.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives for all events and programs.
- Help manage and organize event materials and equipment.
- Maintain the online event calendar.
- Support the procurement process for vendors and event collaborators.
- Assist in the development and strategy for new events and programming.
- Track inquiries from vendors, performers, and event participants.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Strong research, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of problem-solving.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Creative and collaborative mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in event management or relevant experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with the local community is advantageous.
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited college or university program.

Employment Details:
This is a part-time, in-person position requiring between 10 and 30 hours per week, with potential for remote work and evening or weekend commitments.
Compensation: $22 per hour.
