Role Overview:

The Community Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in assisting the Director of Community & Partnerships and the Community Manager in fostering a vibrant and welcoming coworking atmosphere for both members and visitors. This position serves as the initial point of contact for all Spark guests and members, ensuring a tidy, inviting, and supportive workspace. The Community Engagement Specialist is present on-site full-time, actively listening to member feedback, requests, and resource requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the opening and closing operations of the workspace, including setting up beverage stations and ensuring communal areas are well-maintained for members.
  • Develops and implements hospitality objectives and strategies tailored for members and guests.
  • Provides assistance to members, including support with meeting room reservations and recommendations.
  • Manages inventory of supplies, liaising with vendors and placing orders as necessary.
  • Coordinates member mail services and package deliveries.
  • Responds to inquiries from members and staff, delivering information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assists in creating internal marketing materials and communications for both staff and members.
  • Supports the Director of Community & Partnerships with member onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up member profiles and issuing access cards.
  • Handles online inquiries and conducts tours for prospective members.
  • Maintains daily security logs and submits them to the security team promptly.
  • Assists with event preparations and collaborates with service staff and caterers.
  • Provides training insights to support staff.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in English is required.
Essential Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication abilities, with a professional demeanor when interacting with members and guests.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficient in using a keyboard to log client requests and inquiries, primarily while seated.
  • Able to navigate the venue and assigned work areas safely.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Google Drive, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Frequent reading and writing skills are necessary for front desk operations.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
