Position Overview:

The Community Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming and vibrant coworking environment for both members and visitors. Acting as the initial point of contact for all guests, this position is essential in ensuring a tidy, inviting, and positive atmosphere within the workspace. The Community Engagement Specialist is present on-site full-time, actively listening to member feedback, requests, and needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily opening and closing tasks of the workspace, including preparing coffee and water stations, and ensuring common areas are well-maintained and ready for use.
  • Develop and implement hospitality initiatives aimed at enhancing the experience for members and guests.
  • Assist members with support services, including managing meeting room reservations and providing recommendations.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, liaise with vendors, and manage ordering processes.
  • Coordinate member mail services and package deliveries.
  • Address inquiries and requests from members and staff, delivering information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal marketing materials and communications for both staff and members.
  • Assist the Director of Community & Partnerships with onboarding and offboarding processes, including member profile setup and distribution of access cards.
  • Respond to online inquiries and conduct tours for prospective members.
  • Keep daily security logs and submit them to the security team promptly.
  • Support event preparations and collaborate with service staff and caterers.
  • Provide training and guidance to support staff.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required. Proficiency in English is essential.
Essential Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with members and guests.
  • Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficient in using a keyboard for logging client requests and inquiries, primarily while seated.
  • Capability to navigate the workspace safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including Google Drive, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Frequent reading and writing skills are necessary for front desk operations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
