Facilities Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Planner to join our team at Navy Exchange. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for developing and planning both short and long-range capital improvement projects for our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and develop detailed facility project packages in support of our annual capital improvement programs.
- Investigate facility conditions to inform the development of project scope and method of future execution of infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with Regional/District Facility Manager, design tech, operations, and customers to facilitate well-informed project development and execution strategies.
- Perform site evaluations, material research, material take-offs, and other investigative efforts to generate project scopes of work, project phasing plans, specifications, scheduling, and other deliverables related to technical functionality and project execution.
- Work with numerous stakeholders to ensure projects meet customer requirements within fiscal limitations.
- Develop narrative language that describes project scope, specifications, and other critical information for incorporation into contract documents.
- Develop detailed descriptions, government estimates, and other contractual languages as part of requests for quotations/proposals.
- Three years of responsible experience in facilities management, construction, or a related field.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time annually in connection with performing job duties and responsibilities.
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in the coordination of construction/renovation projects, cost estimating, and procurement of construction/renovation projects materials.
- Knowledge of commercial facilities planning, including accepted drafting practices and principles.
