Position Overview

The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer will be an integral member of the Global Sourcing team, collaborating closely with Commodity Managers, Logistics, New Product Development, and plant quality teams to ensure optimal supplier performance throughout the organization.

Role Requirements and Location: This is a full-time position that necessitates in-office engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee APQP and ISIR/PPAP processes for supplied materials. Address defective material issues with suppliers and drive continuous improvement initiatives for those with recurring problems. Collaborate with new product development teams to assess supplier capabilities. Work alongside engineering teams to enhance system capabilities and ensure that design specifications and tolerances meet industry standards. Maintain and refine corporate processes, quality manuals, supplier scorecards, ISIR/APQP databases, corrective action logs, and other relevant documentation. Conduct supplier evaluations through product and systems audits. Ensure that suppliers adhere to Fiberon’s Code of Conduct standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years of relevant experience in a quality or manufacturing setting. Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with APQP and ISIR/PPAP processes. Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent analytical abilities. Effective communication skills. Strong organizational capabilities. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficiency in Minitab. Experience with manufacturing processes and engineering principles. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques (e.g., Gage R&R, capability studies). Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with all levels of the organization. Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and simple manner.
