Position: Quality Assurance Team Supervisor

The Quality Assurance Team Supervisor will support the Quality Manager / Director of Quality in ensuring that resources are effectively aligned to facilitate departmental activities, company initiatives, and cross-functional organizational support to coordinate actions and requirements across various departments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, communicates, and executes a strategic plan to ensure compliance and collaboration with other departments.
  • Oversees the creation, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of process effectiveness.
  • Maintains high performance standards through appropriate evaluations and training, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to standards.
  • Establishes and nurtures effective communication within and between functional groups/management to address issues and achieve resolutions.
  • Collaborates with production, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and clients on quality-related matters to uphold quality standards.
  • Participates in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Formulates strategies and systems aimed at enhancing internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
  • Assists Production, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Subcontractors in ensuring compliance with customer contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Creates inspection criteria for customer inspection requirements.
  • Manages and updates customer documentation revision changes.
  • Maintains external specifications to the latest revision levels (material processes and specifications).
  • Implements and sustains corrective and preventive action processes for suppliers and customers.
  • Handles non-conforming material disposition.
  • Conducts supplier evaluations and ratings.
  • Ensures that in-process inspection points are established in the manufacturing plan.
  • Guarantees accurate completion of customer survey forms or scorecards.
  • Reviews customer purchase orders for quality specifications.
  • Examines purchase orders to suppliers for quality requirements, including flow-down requirements.
  • Develops Statistical Process Control (SPC) plans for internal and customer key characteristics.
  • Prepares Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Submits deviations to the customer and follows up until resolution.
  • Reviews internal processes, including documentation.
  • Creates balloon drawings and other relevant customer documents, developing AS9102 inspection forms.
  • Supports audits and visits, including internal, supplier, customer, and third-party audits.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with a minimum of 10 years of quality-related experience or equivalent, including knowledge of AS9100 & AS13100 standards.
  • Over 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of experience in enhancing business process performance; certification as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt is preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of driving projects to completion.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for direct interaction with clients.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Preferred experience in Continuous Improvement, with a demonstrated history of implementing Lean Manufacturing and visual management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at developing, organizing, and presenting project information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in presenting and making recommendations to Senior Management.
