Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Global Sourcing department, you will work closely with Commodity Managers, Logistics, New Product Development, and plant quality teams to ensure supplier performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Inspection/Supplier Inspection Report (ISIR)/Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for supplied material.
  • Manage defective material concerns with suppliers and implement continuous improvement processes for suppliers with repeat offenses.
  • Partner with new product development teams to provide insight into supplier capability and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system capability and ensure drawing targets and tolerances meet industry expectations.
  • Maintain and enhance corporate processes, quality manual, supplier scorecard, ISIR/APQP database, corrective action log, and folders.
  • Perform supplier assessments through product and systems audits.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to our Code of Conduct expectations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of directly related experience within a quality/manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree (with an emphasis in supply chain/business/engineering or relevant experience required).
  • Experience with APQP and ISIR/PPAP for supplied material.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minitab proficiency.
  • Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles.
  • Statistical analysis skill set (Gage R&R, capability, etc).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to simply and clearly convey and communicate complex concepts.
