Position Summary

The Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in the planning, organization, and execution of recruitment and fundraising events aimed at engaging and expanding our network of donors, volunteers, foster families, and potential clients. This position requires exceptional project management and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, professional events.

Key Responsibilities

Event Management:

  • Plan and execute various events under the guidance of the Senior Director of Development, including fundraising initiatives and community outreach.
  • Manage logistics such as venue selection, catering, and equipment procurement.
  • Act as the primary contact for event-day activities.
  • Assist in conceptualizing event themes, coordinating promotional materials, and logistical planning.
  • Support budget management for events alongside the Senior Director of Development.
  • Work with the Donor Relations and Volunteer Coordinator to recruit volunteers and secure donations.
  • Engage potential sponsors and manage volunteer committees for special events.
  • Monitor event attendance, manage registrations, and collect feedback for evaluation.

Marketing & Communications:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Development to enhance awareness of our mission and initiatives.
  • Create consistent branding for all printed and offline communication materials.
  • Ensure promotional materials align with Monroe Harding's brand standards.
  • Develop strategies to foster lasting relationships with sponsors, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Craft compelling narratives through client interviews for external communications.
  • Assist in targeted marketing initiatives to support program goals while maintaining a unified organizational message.
  • Oversee the creative design of marketing materials and fundraising campaigns.
  • Coordinate video content production and write press releases for various media outlets.
  • Identify advertising opportunities and represent Monroe Harding at community events.
  • Analyze the impact of communications on organizational success.

Website & Social Media Management:

  • Assist in managing online communication platforms.
  • Collaborate with web design vendors for website updates.
  • Stay informed about communication and social media trends.
  • Support the design and implementation of social media content across various platforms.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with a preference for backgrounds in marketing, public relations, or hospitality.

Required Skills:

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Excel, Microsoft Office, and presentation software; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and compile data.
  • Demonstrated initiative and familiarity with print and digital communication platforms.
  • Flexibility and teamwork orientation are essential.
