Account Executive

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Professional to join our team as an Account Executive at our company, Professional Group Plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus on Employee Benefits Account Management, ensuring seamless service delivery to our clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales Executives to drive existing business growth and develop new business opportunities.
  • Conduct enrollment meetings, employee education sessions, and client renewal presentations to promote our services.
  • Produce client-ready RFPs, showcasing our expertise and value proposition.
  • Resolve claim and billing issues efficiently, maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Assist with the submission of individual and group applications, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Process enrollment, termination, and change requests with insurance carriers, streamlining our operations.
  • Provide general problem-solving support for broker issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Manage and mentor Account Managers as needed, fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years of prior experience in the employee benefits or health insurance field.
  • Proficient in all aspects of employee benefit compliance, including ERISA and ACA regulations.
  • Familiar with the large group market (over 100 lives) and small group market (under 100 lives).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Computer proficiency, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of comfort with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent related experience.
  • NY State Health, Life & Accident License preferred.
Compensation:

$150,000 – $175,000 annually, with commission opportunities.
