Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the quality and success of our daily operations, including staffing, pool operations, cash management, customer service, retail, and vending departments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for changing lives and making a splash in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure the school is running per GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to students.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Direct the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to maintain GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in the Links software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in GSS pool operations to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities to achieve improved employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
  • Schedule staff and manage payroll.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent desired.
  • Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or aquatics instructor/supervisor preferred.
  • Three to five years of management experience preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required.
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to heat and humidity. The noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation

$60,000 to $70,000 per year.
