Department: Children's Services Act (CSA)
Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to guarantee the quality of treatment services delivered to youth and families under the Children's Services Act (CSA). This position operates under the supervision of the CSA Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The duties outlined below represent the core responsibilities associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary by management.
• Conducts comprehensive site-based and file utilization assessments, collaborating with case managers and private service providers, as well as fulfilling FAPT/CPMT obligations.
• Evaluates FAPT referrals to ensure all necessary information, appropriate staffing, eligibility criteria, and timely processing are met.
• Oversees the execution of service plans and evaluates outcomes for ongoing cases to assess the appropriateness of services, utilizing clinical data.
• Engages with members of the Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) and the Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT), as well as service providers, case managers, and family members.
• Interprets and applies state and local regulations, policies, and procedures pertinent to the Children's Services Act.
• Provides guidance to assist case managers in selecting suitable service providers.
• Reviews the implications of utilization management policies and procedures within the CSA framework, including services rendered and associated costs; recommends modifications as needed.
• Maintains an understanding of available resources, their strengths and limitations, and criteria for service provision to aid case managers in making informed referrals.
• Handles incoming inquiries effectively.
• Participates in agency disaster response initiatives.
• Assists the CSA Manager in responsibilities related to CPMT and FAPT.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field is required, along with four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in human/social services; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements:
• This position involves sedentary work, with occasional walking or standing, and may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force regularly or sustained keyboard operations.
Work Environment:
• Routine exposure to various environmental conditions, including bright/dim light, dust, pollen, extreme temperatures, and wet or humid conditions.
Certifications:
• A valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
