Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Greenbrier Management Company. As a key member of our property management organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the general maintenance of our apartment community, including performing repairs, troubleshooting, apartment turnover, and performing preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Property Manager to ensure maintenance functions are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with residents, vendors, and property management team on all maintenance services provided.
  • Respond to on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete and follow up on all open unresolved tickets.
  • Utilize general maintenance equipment, including hand tools, ladders, landscaping equipment, and required safety equipment, in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features daily to identify required maintenance tasks and ensure excellent curb appeal.
  • Retain outside contractors as necessary and monitor work performed to ensure timely and proper completion.
  • Work with the Community Manager to obtain competitive bids for maintenance-related expenses.
  • Participate in company training classes and meetings.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding fair housing, OSHA, pool and safety standards.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in apartment maintenance, including basic electrical and plumbing diagnostics/repair.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic tools for the trade and a valid driver's license are required.
  • Flexibility to respond to off-hour emergency situations and resident concerns.
