Overview: We are seeking a proactive and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to enhance our Information Security Team's capabilities. This position offers a distinctive opportunity for a cybersecurity expert to engage with a multifaceted and intriguing business model while supporting all aspects of a national organization. By leveraging various tools and methodologies, this role will play a crucial part in mitigating risks within a sector that is integral to our nation's infrastructure. As the Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Architect, you will deliver cybersecurity guidance, direction, and support to ensure that the risks to Ports America are minimized while optimizing the efficiency of our ports and terminals in cargo movement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze the cybersecurity posture across the organization, proposing enhancements and solutions to existing cybersecurity challenges and vulnerabilities.
  • Lead the adoption and implementation of network security best practices across diverse solutions.
  • Oversee the deployment of cybersecurity solutions (new or modified) to diminish risks while fostering business efficiency and productivity.
  • Guide and mentor Cybersecurity Engineers and Identity and Access Management (IAM) personnel to elevate the team's skills and capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of policies, processes, and procedures related to cybersecurity and IAM.
  • Support the development and management of endpoint security, including hardening measures, tools, and procedures.
  • Stay informed about current threats, vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
  • Monitor and manage web filtering solutions effectively.
  • Assist in refining patch and vulnerability management processes and solutions.
  • Support the development and enhancement of disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity incident response efforts across the organization.
  • Assist various teams in capturing and refining information protection requirements, integrating those into system designs, and ensuring compliance with programs.
  • Facilitate planning and engagement efforts for organizational security evaluations, systems analyses, penetration testing, and security architecture reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral reports and presentations.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews to support compliance with SOX/Internal Controls.
  • Coordinate malware analytics and forensic data collection.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications):
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of NIST and CIS Controls.
  • A minimum of 7 years in Information Technology, including at least 3-4 years in an Information Security Engineering or similar role.
  • Solid working knowledge in incident response, network security (firewalls, NAT, VPN, NGFWs, IPS/IDS), web filtering, patch management, vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection/prevention, malware monitoring and containment, and deployment of security patches across OS/database/application layers.
  • Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, SIEM, patch management tools, and content filtering.
  • Experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Security+ or similar certification is required.
  • CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or similar level certification is preferred.
  • Experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures is preferred.
  • Experience in planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux and/or Unix is preferred.
  • Experience in managing, configuring, and securing public cloud platforms – IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory (2008 to current), Group Policy Management, Microsoft Office 365 environments, and Microsoft back office servers SQL, Exchange, SharePoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows network configurations, SOA, and Microsoft ADFS in a global enterprise environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of packet capture and analysis techniques and technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of endpoint protection tactics, techniques, procedures, and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and computer forensic tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and EMM solutions and management.
  • Skilled in facilitating and conducting structured analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Skilled in log analysis, with familiarity in Splunk, ELK, or similar platforms focused on security and correlation rule configuration.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize results from mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software.
  • Ability to communicate technical and security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and IT Operations peers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including Java, C++, or C#, as well as scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or PowerShell is preferred.
  • Knowledge of change management, project management, and process improvement principles is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10%).
  • Office environment.
