As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in calculating and managing commission and incentive award payments for our sales team, ensuring alignment with established commission plan provisions. Your responsibilities will include providing essential support for the development, implementation, communication, and administration of sales commission and incentive programs. You will conduct comprehensive cost analysis and modeling to enhance commission and incentive plan design, as well as quota levels, while collaborating across departments to address and resolve any calculation disputes or issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and input sales adjustment requests into the system of record.
  • Continuously review, update, and maintain the commission database used for tracking and computing variable compensation and setting sales quotas.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of changes to compensation plans.
  • Provide expert knowledge of departmental policies, processes, and systems.
  • Deliver training and guidance to other departments on the use of departmental systems.
  • Perform financial analysis, including performance against sales quotas, reconciliation with the general ledger, and review of gross profit at both representative and organizational levels.
  • Identify and articulate opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies and increase profitability, including modeling and forecasting improvements with supporting metrics and data.
  • Support and execute ad-hoc research and analytical projects, including project design, data collection, modeling, analysis, and effective presentation of results.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance Business Analysts, and management at all levels to gather, analyze, and summarize required analyses, ensuring accurate implementation of process and system changes through functional validation.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve any calculation disputes or issues.
  • Conduct cost analysis or modeling of alternative commission and incentive plan designs or quota levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
  • At least four years of experience in a commissions-related role.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present, persuade, and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence, with the capability to present information and respond to inquiries from sales representatives and management.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management.
  • Strong analytical skills to read, interpret, and analyze documents and system information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
