Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Lead Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to become an integral part of our cybersecurity division. In this pivotal role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the thorough monitoring, detection, analysis, and management of cybersecurity incidents, safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets. This position demands a proactive and vigilant professional with substantial technical expertise and a strategic mindset dedicated to identifying vulnerabilities, mitigating risks, and spearheading incident response initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously assess and enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture, utilizing advanced security tools and methodologies to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities across diverse systems and environments.
  • Effectively respond to, investigate, and manage security incidents with precision, ensuring minimal disruption to organizational operations.
  • Contribute significantly to the Security Operations team, improving its operational effectiveness through the development and execution of robust security measures and protocols.
  • Mentor and support junior security analysts within the team, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth while sharing insights on contemporary cybersecurity trends and practices.
  • Develop, refine, and uphold incident response playbooks, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Engage in proactive threat hunting activities, leveraging threat intelligence and cybersecurity frameworks to identify and neutralize potential threats before they escalate into incidents.
  • Document and communicate comprehensive incident reports and analyses, ensuring clarity and transparency in the post-incident review process to enhance future security measures and responses.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and trends in cybersecurity, contributing to the strategic direction of the company's IT security initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing operational efficiency through the implementation of automation.
  • Share knowledge and insights with team members and across the organization to cultivate a culture of security awareness and resilience.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT systems, and network security.
  • Proven proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, alongside a solid grasp of cloud services.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and proficient in managing multiple high-priority tasks in a dynamic environment.

Experience & Education

  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in security operations, incident response, or related domains.
  • Demonstrated experience in security systems administration, SIEM, threat intelligence platforms, vulnerability management, and forensic tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Professional security certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, CISSP, or similar are highly regarded.
