The Kitchen Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas by performing various essential tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (the following duties are essential, and others may be assigned):

  • Remove food remnants from soiled dishes and wash them by hand or load them into a dishwashing machine.
  • Clean pots, pans, and trays thoroughly.
  • Keep kitchen floors clean by sweeping and mopping.
  • Sanitize work surfaces, walls, refrigerators, and meat preparation areas.
  • Sort and dispose of trash and waste in designated containers.
  • Steam clean or wash out waste receptacles.
  • Sort recyclable bottles and operate a bottle crushing machine for disposables.
  • Assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Prepare banquet tables for events.
  • Wash and prepare vegetables as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
