Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled HR Operations Specialist to oversee various human resources functions. This role encompasses FMLA administration, workers' compensation, employee relations, performance management, and the administration of compensation and benefits. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in HR operations, particularly in FMLA compliance and workers' compensation management, along with a proven ability to foster employee relations and development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar capacity.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
Required Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of FMLA regulations, workers' compensation laws, and HR best practices.
  • Proven capability to manage sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and its employees.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR software and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee workers' compensation processes, including injury reporting, claims management, and return-to-work initiatives.
  • Administer FMLA processes, ensuring compliance with eligibility and leave tracking.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational objectives.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Coordinate open enrollment activities, ensuring effective communication with employees and managing vendor relationships.
  • Address employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, while assisting with workplace investigations.
  • Conduct research and analysis using reports and metrics from the HR information system (HRIS).
  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law, applying this knowledge to enhance organizational policies and practices.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Physical Requirements:
