Job Description

**Job Summary**

Copeland is seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Specialist to join our team. As an IT Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • **System Maintenance**: Work closely with our Corporate IT team to maintain existing system hardware and software, ensuring the continuous operation of network infrastructure, PC servers, PC desktops, production printers, data collection equipment, security systems, time clocks & bells, and communication systems.
  • **End User Support**: Provide end user support for IT equipment, working closely with Corporate IT personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure timely data input.
  • **Reporting and Analytics**: Assist other departments in writing reports and queries that address information unique to our location, including automated, regularly scheduled reports and ad-hoc queries.
  • **Process Improvement**: Work with other groups to continuously improve our operations, particularly if technology can be used as part of the solution.
  • **Other Duties**: Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • **Technical Requirements**: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • **Computer Software Experience**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows, as well as experience with networking protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, and DHCP.
  • **Computer Hardware Experience**: Familiarity with PCs and peripherals, LAN infrastructure, WAN infrastructure, and fiber internet.
  • **Communication Skills**: Ability to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • **Availability**: May be required to work outside of regular business hours to support critical systems or projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • **Report Writing Experience**: Experience with report writing tools such as Hubble, BI, or Domo.
  • **MRP Software Experience**: Familiarity with MRP software, such as JD Edwards.
  • **Public Speaking**: Ability to speak effectively in front of groups.
