Job Responsibilities
As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Conducting audits, balancing, and reporting on various hotel operations, including food and beverage services, front desk activities, and retail sales, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Providing professional and courteous service to guests during check-in and check-out processes, addressing inquiries and concerns with accurate information.
  • Handling all financial transactions related to food and beverage outlets, ensuring accuracy in cash and credit operations, including checks, deposits, and promotional postings.
  • Auditing and balancing front desk operations, including room charges, adjustments, and disputed charges, to ensure proper cash handling.
  • Preparing and inputting statistics and income journal sheets for daily reporting.
  • Closing all bank ticket codes at the end of each day and running the final night audit to ensure all revenues are balanced.
  • Maintaining excellent customer relations by staying informed about in-house and local events to provide timely and knowledgeable responses to guest inquiries.
  • Operating PBX equipment to manage incoming and outgoing calls, scheduling wake-up calls, and paging guests as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: Background in accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
  • Proficient in using personal computers, cash registers, and calculators.
  • Ability to compile and analyze numerical data.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and guest relations skills.
  • Moderate hearing and excellent vision are required for effective communication and report analysis.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills for interacting with guests.
  • Strong comprehension and literacy skills for reading reports and financial data.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this position include:
  • Standing and moving for the majority of the shift.
  • Frequent bending and kneeling, particularly while filing.
  • Mobility to reach all areas of the hotel to assist guests.
  • Occasional lifting of files and office items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Working indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
