Overview
As the Senior Compliance and Safety Specialist, you will spearhead the implementation of regulatory adherence across various domains, including food safety quality assurance (FSQA) and environmental health and safety (EHS).

Role Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will oversee the warehouse and fleet teams committed to providing exceptional service to Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators while ensuring compliance with the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Motivating team members within the warehouse and fleet operations.
  • Assessing and mitigating risks associated with operations.
  • Executing contingency strategies and training on food safety regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Managing compliance with regulations such as FDA, USDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA.
  • Implementing HACCP, material handling equipment certifications, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Evaluating and addressing FSQA, EHS, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Leading incident investigations related to workplace and food safety.
  • Monitoring safety practices and advising leadership on necessary actions to uphold safety as a core value.

Additionally, you will foster a culture of safety, engagement, and positivity that reflects the values of Chick-fil-A, while driving innovation within the distribution center and fleet operations.


Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of distribution standards, processes, and compliance related to food safety and general safety.
  • Experience in employee training programs and familiarity with risk management practices.
  • Strong presentation skills for effective training delivery.
  • Experience in accident investigation and auditing procedures.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A comprehensive understanding of warehouse design and flow.
  • At least 10 years of experience in food distribution operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, and CSP.
