Position Summary:

The Sponsorship Sales Manager will primarily focus on identifying and researching potential sponsors within a specified geographic region, ensuring alignment with established sponsor categories. This role necessitates engaging with prospects through both warm and cold outreach to qualify leads and cultivate a robust pipeline of potential clients. Key responsibilities include maintaining precise records in the company's HubSpot CRM, conducting sales calls and in-person meetings, and utilizing PandaDocs to develop and customize sponsorship proposals. Furthermore, the role encompasses managing the complete sponsorship deal lifecycle, acting as the main advocate and point of contact for sponsors, and proactively tracking and facilitating sponsorship renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Identification: Research and identify potential sponsors within a designated area who fit the predefined sponsor categories. Use various tools and resources to compile a targeted list of prospects, ensuring a strategic approach to lead generation.
  2. Outreach Initiatives: Engage with prospective sponsors through a blend of warm and cold outreach methods, including email campaigns and phone calls. The objective is to qualify leads by assessing their needs, interests, and capacity to purchase sponsorship packages, thereby establishing a strong client pipeline.
  3. CRM Management: Keep accurate and current records in the company's HubSpot CRM. This includes tracking new deals, entering detailed information on companies and contacts, logging sales activities, and ensuring all relevant data is accessible for reporting and follow-up.
  4. Sales Engagement: Conduct sales calls and in-person meetings with potential sponsors to discuss their needs, present sponsorship opportunities, and negotiate terms. Tailor each interaction to meet the unique goals of the prospect, ensuring a personalized approach.
  5. Proposal Development: Utilize PandaDocs to create sponsorship proposals using predefined templates. Customize each proposal by incorporating specific deal information relevant to the sponsor category, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the sponsor's needs.
  6. Lifecycle Management: Act as an advocate and primary contact for sponsors post-purchase. Monitor sponsorship renewal dates and proactively follow up with sponsors to facilitate renewals, presenting new opportunities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in sponsorship or event sales.
  • Proven track record of success in previous sales roles.
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems for tracking and managing sales activities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confidence in making and receiving phone calls, pitching products, and building relationships.
  • Proficiency in using Windows computers.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
