Patient Service Representative II

Covenant Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative II to join our team in East Tennessee. As a key member of our surgical associates team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and administrative support to our physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collects and processes encounter form data
- Collects and totals outstanding balances and payments for services rendered
- Provides administrative coverage for patient service functions
- Answers telephone calls and routes accordingly
- Receives and records changes in patient information
- Ensures procedures and corresponding diagnosis are properly recorded on the fee slip for charge entry
- Schedules appointments for return visits and end of day procedures
- Compiles data for billing personnel
- Develops effective communication skills
- Attends meetings and participates on committees as directed
- Collaborates with patients, physicians, and other care team members
Requirements:
- One year of experience in a medical office setting with working knowledge of clinic appointment scheduling, collection, and ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding
- Minimum three years of total customer-facing/customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
