We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at HealthStar Inc. - Equip Your Future. As a key member of our patient services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients in a prompt and courteous manner, verifying all necessary information.
- Prepare patient medical records for daily appointments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Update patient profiles and maintain accurate records, including medical histories, labs, and correspondence.
- Manage appointment schedules, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling and confirmation.
- Collect co-pays and small balances, balancing the cash drawer daily.
- Provide patient referrals and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and EMR systems (Athena) preferred.
This is a sedentary role with some standing, walking, and reaching. Daily data entry and occasional stress from handling multiple calls and patient requests.
