Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at HealthStar Inc. - Equip Your Future. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Registration: Greet and register patients in a prompt, pleasant, and courteous manner, verifying all necessary information, including demographics and insurance details.
  • Medical Records Management: Prepare patient medical records for daily appointments, update profiles, and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Ensure seamless appointment scheduling, confirm appointments, and post cancellations or rescheduled appointments.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect co-pays and small balances, balance the cash drawer daily, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Referral and Communication: Process patient referrals, answer phone calls, and provide information as directed.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in EMR (Athena) and other relevant software, and maintain knowledge of clinic/medical practice procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work cooperatively as a team member, and proficiency in data entry and typing.
  • Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary with some standing, walking, and reaching, with occasional lifting of 30-50 pounds.
