The DoorDash Kitchens team operates within DoorDash's innovative delivery models, focusing on shared 'dark kitchens' designed for restaurateurs aiming to expand their reach. This compact yet dynamic team plays a crucial role in scaling DoorDash Kitchens.

Role Responsibilities

As a Culinary Supervisor, you will manage various culinary concepts and oversee the daily functions of our DoorDash-operated kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that food orders are prepared and delivered to the highest standards while supporting broader operational tasks such as inventory management and ordering. You will lead a team of cooks, ensuring their success by promoting quality, efficiency, and adherence to food safety regulations. You will report directly to the Culinary Manager.

  • Culinary Management: Prepare and expedite orders while overseeing daily culinary operations.
  • Shift Leadership: Supervise line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers during shifts, ensuring food quality and maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Staff Oversight: Responsible for managing culinary staff throughout shifts, ensuring quality food preparation and proper sanitation, while addressing any disciplinary issues with the Manager.
  • Operational Improvement: Implement standard operating procedures regarding safety, cleanliness, inventory, and food preparation. Innovate ways to enhance operations while maintaining high food preparation standards.
  • Administrative Duties: Conduct inventory checks, place vendor orders, and create prep lists, along with other administrative tasks to support the kitchen's success.

  • You possess 1-2 years of experience in cooking and managing within fast-casual, quick-service, or full-service restaurants.
  • You have at least 1 year of experience supervising a team, including scheduling responsibilities.
  • You hold a ServeSafe Managers License and maintain high cleanliness standards.
Compensation Details

The salary range for this position varies by location. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, relevant experience, and specific work location. For remote roles, salary is adjusted according to the employee's work location.
