We are currently seeking a dedicated Culinary Supervisor to join our team.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

  • Pay Range: $23.00/hr. - $27.00/hr.

Summary

The Culinary Supervisor is responsible for the meticulous planning, preparation, and timely delivery of high-quality food and beverages. This role encompasses managing all kitchen operations, including food procurement, preparation, and maintaining quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness. The Culinary Supervisor will also train team members in cooking techniques, preparation methods, and presentation skills while ensuring compliance with labor and food cost controls.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and support all kitchen staff effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation of various food items using diverse cooking equipment.
  • Supervise shifts by communicating effectively with team members and management.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of kitchen personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular coaching and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to recipes and kitchen standards for each menu item.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure proper food rotation.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Support event execution by assisting with menu specifications.
  • Train staff on required skills for all kitchen stations.
  • Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all menu items.
  • Assist with ordering and monitoring vendor quality.
  • Communicate storage needs and inventory levels effectively.
  • Minimize food waste and monitor inventory shrinkage.
  • Create a motivating environment with open communication.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED; Culinary degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent in a high-volume food service operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Servsafe and/or San Diego County Food Handlers Manager Card required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for events.
