The DoorDash Kitchens division operates innovative 'dark kitchens' designed for restaurateurs aiming to expand their culinary reach. This dynamic team plays a crucial role in scaling the DoorDash Kitchens concept.

Role Responsibilities

As a culinary leader, you will oversee the preparation of diverse culinary offerings and manage the daily functions of our DoorDash-operated kitchen. Your focus will be on ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered to the highest standards while supporting overall operations through inventory management and ordering processes. You will guide a team of cooks to ensure they achieve success, maintaining quality and efficiency while adhering to food safety regulations. You will report directly to the Culinary Manager.

  • Culinary Management: Oversee and expedite food orders while managing daily kitchen operations.
  • Team Oversight: Supervise line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers during shifts, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.
  • Staff Leadership: Responsible for guiding culinary staff throughout shifts to ensure high-quality food preparation and cleanliness, addressing any disciplinary issues with the Manager.
  • Operational Development: Implement standard operating procedures related to safety, cleanliness, inventory, and food preparation. Innovate ways to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Administrative Duties: Conduct inventory checks, place vendor orders, and create prep lists, among other administrative tasks to support kitchen success.

  • An interest in working within modern restaurant models, including delivery-focused environments.
  • A desire to continuously learn and grow.
What We Value in You:
  • 1-2 years of experience in culinary roles within fast-casual, quick-service, or full-service restaurants.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity, including scheduling responsibilities.
  • A valid ServeSafe Managers License and a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety standards.
Compensation Overview

The salary range for this position varies by location. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, relevant experience, and work location. For remote roles, salary is adjusted according to the employee's work location.
