Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Development Senior Engineer to join our team at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America. As a key member of our Power Unit Development Division, you will be responsible for developing and guaranteeing the correct powertrain hardware package required to meet all developmental, marketability, and regulatory targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for powertrain hardware development, ensuring alignment with global hardware specs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts and ensure harmonious hardware maturation schedules.
  • Investigate and resolve hardware and calibration issues, developing corrective plans as necessary.
  • Communicate status updates and results to function management and team members.
  • Lead test data review meetings and MaruQ preparation events to validate hardware and calibrations.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 8 years of related experience or equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Matlab.
Working Conditions

This role requires working on actual engines and vehicles with hand and power tools, as well as performing analysis and documentation. The associate will communicate findings to varying levels of management.
