Job Title: Senior Prototyping Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Prototyping Engineer to lead our research and development team at American Honda Motor Co. in Raymond, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute group plans, including setting short- and mid-term assignments, ensuring targets are met, and group business management.
- Track and maintain schedules for modeling support events.
- Utilize technical expertise in prototyping, model building, and validation methodologies to pivot ADC's product creation and validation process.
- Track work request status and allocate resources appropriately.
- Control budget and forecast for manpower and operations.
- Maintain manpower allocation and planning to prevent drop-off in deliverables.
- Act as a mentor for associate development, assessing competencies and tracking associate development plans.
- Develop individual talent through regular one-on-one engagement meetings, reviews, performance feedback, and career development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of prototyping for validation/verification experience.
- Leading a small group of experts with little process definition.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- 5% travel.
- Working in an open lab space with multiple activities ongoing at once.
- 10% OT is typical. More is required at times.
