Required Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related technical field is mandatory.

Position Overview:

The role involves delivering technical assistance in investigating known quality concerns under the supervision of a QAEII. The Quality Assurance Engineer will implement strategies and directives in alignment with departmental policies. This position focuses on identifying root causes and corrective measures for existing quality issues utilizing the 8D methodology, with validation from the audit team. The engineer will ensure adherence to all relevant regulations while fostering a positive relationship with local regulatory bodies. The ultimate goal is to guarantee that a safe, compliant, and high-quality product is provided to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures that investigations into quality issues are performed in accordance with departmental protocols and work guidelines.
  • Proactively identifies and executes process enhancement initiatives aimed at improving quality or efficiency within quality processes.
  • Maintains a high level of satisfaction among customers, both internal and external.
  • Collaborates with various departments and disciplines.
  • Fosters and maintains a FOD-free environment.
  • Implements company policies and procedures; develops new protocols as necessary.
  • Encourages and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supports operational priorities as outlined by the Quality leadership team.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Other Qualifications:

  • An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License may be considered in conjunction with 4 years of relevant experience (in addition to the experience requirements stated) in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as a FAA recognized airworthiness designee is highly desirable.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Capacity to understand manufacturing processes (e.g., Assembly, Machining, Special Process, Inspection, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
