Position Overview

Whirlpool Corporation is on the lookout for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer within our Quality team.

Role Responsibilities
The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer will play a vital role in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within our supply chain. Key responsibilities include:

1. **Driving Quality Initiatives**: Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for common failures, collaborating with design and process engineers as well as suppliers.
2. **Continuous Improvement**: Establish quality goals for suppliers and spearhead initiatives to enhance performance.
3. **Approval Processes**: Oversee the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure compliance with company standards.
4. **Supplier Management**: Manage supplier relationships to ensure successful product launches and adherence to quality standards.
5. **Real-Time Analysis**: Provide immediate failure analysis for production issues and work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions.

Travel Requirements
Travel to supplier locations may be necessary to conduct quality assessments and ensure manufacturing capabilities align with our standards.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Preferred experience includes a background in Supplier Quality or Quality roles, along with familiarity with quality tools and methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SAP software.
- A proactive approach to working independently and within cross-functional teams.
