Director of Operations and Supply Chain

ATSC IES INC is in search of a dynamic Operations and Supply Chain Executive to enhance our distinguished team within the defense sector, focusing on Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). This role presents a remarkable opportunity to assume a pivotal leadership position as we strive to develop a premier operations and supply chain framework.

The primary duties of this role include overseeing the operations and supply chain division, refining operational processes, managing workforce relations, and fostering the growth and development of personnel and the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive senior management experience in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate expertise in enhancing processes, metrics, and controls. This leader will collaborate closely with executive management to devise and implement long-term strategies that drive productivity and success for the organization. Furthermore, the leader will facilitate staff development by identifying skill requirements, delegating responsibilities effectively, and inspiring project teams to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and oversee daily operational systems and processes to ensure transparency in goals, progress, and ongoing enhancements of critical initiatives.
  • Leverage relationships with department leaders, external partners, and suppliers to inform decisions regarding operational activities and strategic objectives.
  • Plan, assess, and analyze essential metrics for daily operations to guarantee efficient and timely task completion.
  • Formulate strategies to promote enterprise-wide program growth and implement process enhancements to optimize output while minimizing costs.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and standards, as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Utilize analytical tools to synthesize data and provide insightful recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, diligence, and follow-through.
  • Collaborate with peers to lead the team with integrity, fostering a trusting, inclusive, and productive work environment.
  • Partner with senior management in establishing performance objectives and long-term operational strategies.
  • Enhance efficiency and productivity through comprehensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Set strategic objectives for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Assist leadership in formulating financial and budgetary plans.
  • Evaluate current operational processes and performance, proposing improvements where necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive senior leadership experience in operations, planning, and supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated success in production, fabrication, systems integration, and strategic planning.
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities, supported by a history of professional achievements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.
  • Proven ability to design and manage operational processes for optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Capacity to streamline or establish structures and roles that enhance speed and efficiency while accommodating rapidly changing business demands.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and legal requirements.
  • Experience in managing subcontract suppliers.
  • Familiarity with customer and government audits.
  • EVMS experience is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, including MRP, MPS, Sales Orders, etc.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is generally conducted in an operations and office environment.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see.
  • Must have the capacity to lift 15-25 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
