Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Innovation and R&D for our Innovation Platform, the Global PMO Director dedicates their expertise to overseeing and managing various projects or programs within the organization, ensuring that they deliver value on schedule, within budget, and meet quality expectations.

Leadership & Strategic Planning:

  • Define the PMO's role and structure, taking on both managerial and hands-on delivery responsibilities for project/program management across the global innovation and R&D functions.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee project/program management office practices, tools, templates, processes, and performance metrics.
  • Engage with executives and leadership stakeholders to outline project priorities, identify implementation opportunities, address challenges, and communicate project risks and benefits.
  • Equip executive leaders with the necessary information to evaluate and determine which proposals offer the greatest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment.

Project/Program Management, Reporting & Communication:

  • Design and execute a project management methodology (including an agile framework), best practices, and effective tools that the global innovation portfolio will utilize.
  • Collaboratively create and manage the project and program management (PPM) roadmap and portfolio, tracking progress and status, including specific accountabilities for project/program managers such as setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to deliverables.
  • Evaluate financial data, including project budgets and risks, to determine resource allocation.
  • Provide data, financial reports, and budget outlines to key stakeholders and governance teams.
  • Oversee the comprehensive execution of projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring all aspects of assigned projects or programs.
  • Ensure project governance, timelines, and budgets are met, escalating potential risks or delays and driving resolution efforts.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead the future state PM team to ensure timely, on-scope, and on-budget delivery of projects/programs.
  • Develop and implement training materials, emphasizing individual development, growth, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in project management.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a PMO, preferably within the agricultural sector.
  • Experience in implementing Lean-Agile portfolio management.
  • PMP certification.

Preferred:

  • SAFe certification and experience in innovative/high-growth environments.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams.
