Field Sales Representative

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Vehicle products, software solutions, and services in a defined territory. This role requires effective sales approaches to end-users and Engineering firms with short and long-term sales cycles. The ideal candidate will develop and manage the territory through joint sales & services account penetration and selling activities, with an emphasis on self-generated opportunities. Key responsibilities include developing account penetration plans, creating opportunities through one's own actions, and aggressively pursuing sales goals. The successful candidate will also utilize company resources to prepare for sales activities and account engagement actions, proactively engage assigned accounts offering a wide variety of solutions and services, and develop, expand, and refresh relationships at assigned accounts through a network of Mettler Toledo employees, distribution partners, and other counterparts across your accounts.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Engineering, Industry and Technology or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record in the industrial marketplace is required. Knowledge of and sales experience with OEM's, System Integrators, Engineering houses and Contractors/Concrete Construction is helpful. The candidate must be proficient in MS Office software, have solid organizational skills and professional image. Significant experience with ERP and/or CRM systems; SAP preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to make presentations to senior groups and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills are essential. Excellence in interpersonal/communication skills, professional maturity, and the ability to work with minimum supervision - a self-starter with strong organization, prioritization and time management skills are also required. Strategic thinking, and willingness to do so within a collaborative team environment are necessary. Technical competence and knowledge - applicable examples are Engineering (Industrial Systems, Mechanical, Electrical), Material Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics.
What We Offer
Mettler-Toledo offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $105,000 - $135,000, plus commission. The company also provides a company car with paid insurance and gas for work and personal use, laptop, cell phone, and expense account.
