POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Supervisor of Residential Care Services is responsible for overseeing routine care operations and specific non-clinical tasks under the guidance of the Director of Residential Services and Program Manager. This role includes ensuring a secure and therapeutic atmosphere while attending to the needs of children and adolescents, prioritizing their safety, rights, and comfort. The Supervisor continuously monitors residents' behaviors and mental well-being, relaying pertinent information to the clinical team, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting independent behavior. Additional responsibilities include facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers, as well as participating in the execution of individualized care plans for residents.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Adhering to directives from the Program Director and Supervisor as outlined in established policies and procedures.
  • Delivering care to children and adolescents in a manner that respects their safety, rights, comfort, developmental stage, and therapeutic needs.
  • Assisting with the admission, discharge, and transfer processes for residents.
  • Supporting resident outings by providing transportation as needed.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a child care setting.
  • At least two years of college education and 3 years of experience in a child care institution, or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in an inpatient psychiatric or residential treatment program for at least two years.
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience in a Residential Care Specialist role or a comparable position.
  • Experience working with individuals with Impulse Disorders is preferred.
  • Valid motor vehicle operation report is required.
