Description
The Site Operations Supervisor is responsible for spearheading continuous enhancement and streamlining all workflows within an automotive mechanical and repair facility, delivering intricate diagnostic and retrofit services for client-owned vehicles prior to their market release.
This role encompasses comprehensive oversight of all facility operations, including automotive mechanics, parts management, shipping and receiving, logistics, maintenance, physical security, and quality assurance, ensuring that optimal operational performance is consistently achieved.
The ideal candidate will possess the essential skills to enhance all processes that maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity, with direct supervision of approximately 45 team members at this site.
Effective communication across all organizational levels is a critical component of this role. The individual is expected to actively engage with the team, working collaboratively as needed.Essential Job Functions
Plan, organize, direct, and manage efficient daily operations to surpass client expectations, in direct collaboration with on-site Stellantis clients.
Enhance production, asset capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary expenses and upholding current quality standards.Oversee systems and processes that monitor and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective asset returns.
Collect and analyze data to identify instances of waste or excessive overtime.Accountability for production output, product quality, and timely shipping.
Supervise overall facility security, including all client assets and vehicles.
Effectively allocate resources and fully utilize assets to achieve optimal results.
Commit to and further advance plant safety protocols.
Supervise all time and attendance-related functions for team members at this location.
Implement appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
Foster strong relationships within the workgroup and recruit, manage, and develop the plant team.
Address team member concerns or grievances and administer corrective actions in collaboration with Human Resources.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
3+ years of progressive leadership experience is advantageous.
Experience in an automotive manufacturing or production setting is beneficial.
Requires The Following Skills
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be capable of effective communication through various mediums.
Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, and profit & loss).
Familiarity with standard automotive industry equipment and technical expertise.
Knowledgeable in safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory management, security, and stewardship processes.
Proficient in computer applications, with the ability to produce and present information using Excel and PowerPoint as needed.
Ability to foster accountability and lead by example.
Strong skills in team building, decision-making, and people management.
