About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at KIK Consumer Products, Inc. This is a critical role that will be responsible for driving operational excellence and plant optimization across our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve safety, quality, cost, and production metrics, ensuring budgeted goals are met or exceeded.
  • Lead Plant Optimization: Develop and deliver on budget accounts specific to maintenance, MRO, and other functions, driving continuous improvement through good manufacturing principles.
  • Manage Maintenance Metrics: Ensure the success of all operational and maintenance metrics, including delivery, productivity improvement, equipment and parts inventory, and quality program.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate daily with management team regarding safety, quality, scheduling, delivery, workload capacity, and staffing issues.
  • Analyze Equipment Performance: Analyze equipment performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and Maintain PM Systems: Develop and maintain an effective and sustainable PM system that supports productivity efficiencies in the plant.
  • Manage Spare Parts: Order and maintain adequate spare parts within budget guidelines.
  • Lead Team Performance: Manage and evaluate individual performance within the department, mentoring and developing the team to grow their technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Drive Problem Solving: Drive rapid problem solving and root cause analysis from the production floor.
  • Coordinate Outside Contracting: Coordinate outside contracting with in-house projects as necessary.
  • Achieve Cost Reduction Targets: Achieve cost reduction targets, reduce waste, improve quality, identify and resolve ergonomic issues.
  • Understand EHS Hazards: Understand and identify EHS hazards, risks, and controls of operations and activities at the site.
  • Drive Standardized Work: Drive the creation and improvement of standardized work.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 or more years of experience in a unionized manufacturing facility with lean manufacturing practices.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Thorough understanding of manufacturing plant operations, including industry experience in manufacturing.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, well-organized, and a team player.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented and accurate, able to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with integrated/computerized manufacturing systems, JDE experience preferred.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Full understanding of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic plant equipment, including PLC programming.
  • Software Skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications, strong understanding of Excel.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S experience preferred.
  • Time Management: Must meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
  • Work Environment: The production facility is within an indoor/outdoor, industrial environment, and is not climate-controlled. Manager will regularly enter areas that require the use of stairs or ladders, respirator protection, and enter closely confined spaces.
