Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Accounts Receivable team at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process check refunds in accordance with VA specifications and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for accounts receivable tasks, including data entry, filing, and document reproduction.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other program documentation, and coordinate meetings and conferences.
  • Manage executive client calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate meeting materials to ensure schedules are aligned.
  • Draft and distribute agendas, briefings, papers, and other materials to support productive and efficient meetings.
  • Assist in the coordination of onsite meetings, including meeting room setup and audiovisual support.
  • Track action items, take meeting minutes, and follow up with due outs after meetings.
  • Perform routine data entry, filing, and document reproduction tasks, and proofread and edit documents.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, with a focus on accounts receivable or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, presentations, and other program documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and editing documents.
  • Familiarity with technical and specialized terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a government or health care setting, particularly working with VA, is preferred.
