Job Title: Registered Nurse RN ICU Night Shift

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in our 12-bed STICU. As a member of our team, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to critically ill surgical and trauma patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery patients, and post-procedural patients.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication administration, and other medical interventions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience, with a preference for 2+ years of surgical or post-op experience.
  • Education: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association) required.
  • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
  • Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
