Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiac Observation Unit.
Unit Overview:
The Cardiac Observation Unit is a 14-bed unit that provides comprehensive cardiac care to patients with congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, pre- and post-cardiac procedures, dysrhythmias, and more.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong time management skills, work well as a team, and strive for professional and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients with various cardiac conditions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting
- Previous PCU experience preferred
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association
