Surgical Trauma ICU Nurse Supervisor

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Unit Supervisor in our Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU). As a leader in our ICU team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, mentoring and guiding nursing staff, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
Job Summary:- Lead a team of Registered Nurses in the STICU, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional patient care.
- Develop and implement unit-based policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient flow.
- Monitor and analyze unit performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in ICU care.
- At least one year of Registered Nurse experience in an ICU setting, with a strong background in surgical trauma care.
- Charge RN or RN Supervisory experience preferred.
- BSN or MSN degree, with a focus on leadership and management.
- Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
